Why Ben started Tron
Ben spent a decade on the tools for other people before setting up on his own in 2023. He wanted to be in control of his own work and his family’s future, and to run the kind of plumbing business he’d want to call himself: one that’s straight with you about whether something needs replacing or just fixing, and handles the whole job without passing you between trades.
The name Tron came with the logo: a tap, a flame and a drop of water, for plumbing, gas and drainage, the three trades the business is licensed in.
How we work
Our work is carried out and signed off under certifying licences in plumbing, gasfitting and drainlaying, so we can design, install and certify all three. On a hot water job that matters: a gas Infinity unit, a cylinder swap and the drain it runs to are all ours, with one quote and one set of paperwork.
We quote in writing, usually the same day, and for common jobs the pricing is ready. We’d rather repair a valve than sell you a cylinder you don’t need. We keep to small, fast-turnaround jobs across Hamilton, so non-urgent work is usually done within a week, and we run the business on Fergus and Xero so quotes, photos and invoices all live in one place.
Most of our customers are homeowners. The rest are builders we’ve worked with for years and property managers who want one plumber they can hand a job to and forget about.

You get in touch
Call, or send the quote form with a few photos. We take the details and book a time to look at the job, or quote from the photos if they show enough.

Written quote, usually the same day
We send the quote the day you ask. For common jobs the pricing is ready, and we tell you if a repair will do instead of a replacement.

The job
Non-urgent jobs are usually done within a week. Water or gas is off for the minimum time, and you do not need to be home if we can get access.

Paperwork and tidy up
Gas work comes with a gas safety certificate, and consented work with the PS3, pressure test and as-laid drainage plans the council needs. Then we clean up and invoice.
